The various styles of leather sofas

These days there are styles available to match everyone’s tastes, whether that is traditional, contemporary or classic. In this article, I will highlight a number of leather sofa styles.

Chesterfield Leather Sofas

Chesterfield Sofas are amazing in that they actually look better with age. The natural and aged appearance of these sofas can add a real sense of character to a living room and provide an excellent focal point.

Sectional Leather Sofas

Also referred to as corner sofas, these can be placed in a corner and used to project the image of a single furniture piece. These can also be taken apart and moved about according to the design that you feel is best for your room.

Convertible Leather Sofas

These are very similar in appearance to regular sofas. However, the main difference is that you can convert them into a bed by simply removing a portion of the seat. These are very similar to sleeper sofas, the only difference being that they have more parts.

Traditional Leather Sofas

These are the simplest and most common type of leather sofas available on the market. They are a simple settee designed for sitting and relaxing whilst talking to people or accommodating guests. This is often the first image that springs to mind when the word sofa is mentioned.

Leather Sofa Beds

Also known as sleeper sofas, sofa beds are also similar in appearance to regular sofas. They are ideal for when you have guests to stay and do not have a guest room with beds. All you need to do is just pull the bed from the top or bottom (depending on the design of the sofa0 and you will instantly have a sleeping area.

Recliner Leather Sofas

One of the most popular types of leather sofa, these are equipped with functionality that allows you to correctly adjust your leg portion, back portion, and the incline of the seats’ base. There are many modified versions of recliner sofas that are perfect for recreation or family rooms.

The various types of leather

There are a number of leathers that are used by the furniture industry, some of these are:

Aniline Leather

is the most luxurious leather of all. It is dyed in a way that allows pores and scars from the original skin structure to remain visible even after applying the dye.

Semi- Aniline Leather

This leather is also dyed, but mainly for the purposes of protecting the leather rather than creating a nice visual effect.

Nubuck leather

This is soft leather that is mainly used to create maximum softness and comfort.
